I graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Athletic Therapy.
After experiencing back issues from snowboarding I went to see an Athletic Therapist for help. With a combination of hands on treatment and the customized exercise program I was pain free and fully recovered. Over the years I sustained injuries from running and car accidents, I would always go see my Athletic therapist for help, benefitting from their expertise in musculoskeletal injuries. I had always had an interest in the human body and wanted to be in the medical field. It was these experiences that solidified for me that Athletic therapy was the career path that I wanted to take. What drew me to the field and continues to motivate me to be a better therapist is the ability to positively affect a person’s everyday life, helping them recover from injuries and giving them the opportunity to do the things they enjoy in life.
Perfect Sunday afternoon:
A crisp fall day at the park, when the leaves are just starting to turn red, reading a book with the warm sun on my face.
Little Known Fact:
When I was younger I was on a competitive swimming team, but I wouldn’t compete, I just liked going to practice.
